If you get this error message, then you need to replace the X in X:\setup.exe with the letter assigned to the CD-ROM drive in your computer. Here's another easy way to install COMM1:

  1. Place the COMM1 CD-ROM in your CD-ROM drive and shut the drive door.
  2. Click the Windows Start button.
  3. Roll up to Settings. Roll over to, and select, Control Panel.
Inside Control Panel double-click on Add/Remove Programs.
  4. In the upper-left corner of Add/Remove Programs is an Install button. Click the Install button. An Install Program from Floppy Disk or CD-ROM dialog box appears.
  5. Click the Next button in the dialog box. The computer will find a COMM1 setup program on the CD-ROM. The computer will then fill in the Command line for the installation program section of the dialog box.
  6. Click the Finish button to install to the suggested directory. Follow the on-screen instructions.
