If you get this error message, then you need to
replace the X in X:\setup.exe
with the letter assigned to the CD-ROM drive in your computer.
Here's another easy way to install COMM1:
- Place the COMM1 CD-ROM in your CD-ROM
drive and shut the drive door.
- Click the Windows Start
button.
- Roll up to Settings. Roll over to, and select, Control Panel.
Inside Control Panel double-click on Add/Remove Programs.
- In the upper-left corner of Add/Remove Programs is an Install
button. Click the Install
button. An Install Program from Floppy Disk or CD-ROM dialog
box appears.
- Click the Next
button in the dialog box. The computer will find a COMM1
setup program on the CD-ROM. The computer will then fill in
the Command line for the installation program section of the
dialog box.
- Click the Finish
button to install to the suggested directory. Follow the on-screen
instructions.
